ARE YOU READY FOR SOME TRAINING!!!!!!

Wait - I'm telling my age when I say that. I did not get in an "official" training walk last week. However, I was in DC with my family (5 adults and 5 teens) and we walked an average of 9 miles per day (cousin wore a pedometer). DC's humidity can definitely compete with Florida. I had my backpack that I wear for the 3Day loaded with water, trail mix, blister care items, big and small cameras, cell phone, wallet, sunblock, mosquito spray and umbrella.

I gave my training visor to my cousin. I wish I had brought my training towel. All the sights had been carefully planned for each day on my Sites spreadsheet - right down to lunch so we were averaging less than 15 minutes a mile.
There was a lot of grumbling from the teenagers - my feet hurt, it's hot, I'm tired, etc. - and of course being the sweet, encouraging Auntie that I am, I had reassuring words like - suck it up and be glad I don't have you doing 20 miles for the 3Day :)

So teammies, I am READY for 6 miles on Saturday - it's going to be a stroll in the park after last week. So e-mail me if you are ready to get serious about the 3Day and strap on your training shoes - it's going to be an awesome ride!!
