Deborah Kunzie - Webmaster

About Me:

Owner of Garlic D'zign a web hosting, web development company located in central Florida. I have been a Professional Photographer for thirty years and a web developer for about 12 years. My company has just released a new content management system application that is being used to power this web site. I am a daughter, a sister, a mother and a grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters. And I have a wonderful lifetime partner.

Why I Joined This Team:

I have lived most of my life as a pretty secluded person. I have been fortunate that I have not had any family members or close friends attacked by this disease.

UPDATE: Mom was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2008. She had a partial mastectomy and has gone through radiation and is currently on chemo pills and doing well.

In the year of 2006  my dear friend Denise Wheatley joined this team and  I watched almost every weekend her anguish as she trained in the heat and early morning hours with other team mates for this event. For the life of me I couldn't understand why!

Until the first day of the walk. The team stayed at a hotel at the starting point of the 2006 3 Day Walk. We were up early, I grabbed my camera and headed out for the first stopping point to be a supporter. As the walkers started coming in pouring sweat already, and looking for a few minutes of relief I knew that this was a major deal. It wasn't until the end of the third and final day that my emotions ran high as I stood for hours waiting on the walkers to cross the finish line. The tears, the swollen feet, the exhausted bodies and yet the happy individuals and team mates that had won this race together. I knew then that I had to be a part of this cause. The following year Denise and I both were supporters, helping wherever we could. Same emotions, but even a stronger desire to do something special. I knew with my own health issues I could not hold up to walk this 60 mile event but I knew that I had some God given talents that would allow me to contribute. That's why this site was created. It's my way to show my support to all the people on this team and to help them shine through to the end. It's my way of giving and helping them to raise the money for this organization to help cure this awful disease.

My donation link:
