I am the Sr. Manager of Infrastructure Services for Raymond James and Associates. I have been with Raymond James for the past 13 years. In September, 1993 I moved to St. Petersburg, FL from St. Louis, MO. Within about a week, I knew I found my new home. I love anything that involves the water and sun.
My mother is a 7 year breast cancer survivor. Every time I passed my dear co-worker Janice Cramer in the hall at RJ, she would ask me if I was going to walk in the 3 day with her. The first six months I just laughed at her; the next 6 months I would respond by saying “next year”. In 2006, I ran out of excuses so I signed up to walk. This will be my 2nd year walking. One day last fall, after the team had just had completed the 2007 3-Day, I was thinking about the 2006 walk. I thought about all the people lined up on the streets cheering us on. Mothers, grandmothers, fathers, grandfathers, sisters and brothers, many who had been touched by this disease coming out to support people they didn’t even know. I remember on the 3rd day of the walk, coming upon a woman sitting in her front yard. She ran out to greet Denise Wheatley and me with a big hug. She said “thank you so much for walking. I had breast cancer and I just finished my treatments”. Need I say more!
Please help me raise the $2200.00 to Walk for this Cure! Thank you..
